Where your stems become a finished record.
Send your stems — vocal and instrumental, or split further into groups like drums, bass, and keys. I'll balance, EQ, glue and master them into a release-ready track — with a mix you can actually hear yourself in.
From £30 a track, with turnaround from 24 hours.

Hey, I'm VIX
"Every mix starts with one question: what does this song need to feel like?"
I bring years of hands-on experience in audio and vocal recording engineering, built alongside my own path as a producer and artist. That dual perspective is what shapes my process — I've spent years shaping tone, sculpting sounds, and building mixes from the ground up, but I also know how a track feels from inside the artist's chair. I'm not just balancing frequencies; I'm listening for the story you're trying to tell.
Every track gets my own ears on it, start to finish — no hand-offs, no junior engineer. Just a direct line to me until you're happy with what you hear back.
And the name? Marc IV (say it 'Mark Four') is my own name, Vicram, flipped backwards.
Same song, before and after.
Flip between the raw stems and the finished mix — no restart, just an instant switch, so you can hear exactly what changes.
What you're sending me
Every package includes 2 stems as standard — sending more (drums, bass, keys, backing vocals, whatever your session needs split out) is easy to add for a flat £10 per extra stem group.
- 01Instrumental stem — beat, production, all music elements bounced together.
- 02Vocal stem — lead and backing vocals bounced together, dry or lightly processed.
- +Extra stem groups (optional) — e.g. drums, bass, keys, or vocal groups split out separately, at +£10 each. Choose the number of stems when you book.
I'll balance your stems against each other, apply corrective and tonal EQ, glue compression across the mix, and master to commercial loudness for streaming.

Sending your stems
A bit of prep on your end makes a big difference to how close the first pass lands. Here's what to check before you upload.
Do this
- Finish vocal editing first — comping, tuning and timing should be done before you bounce. I don't tune vocals as part of mixing.
- Clean up the takes — remove obvious breaths, clicks and mouth noise if they're distracting.
- Keep creative effects printed — if a delay or reverb is part of the sound you're going for, leave it active in the bounce.
- Leave headroom — bounce with peaks around -6dB so there's room to work with before anything clips.
Send along with your stems
- A rough reference mix — even a quick phone recording or your DAW's built-in bounce helps me match your intended balance.
- A reference track (optional) — a commercial song whose tone or loudness you like.
- The tempo and key — if known, it saves time.
- Anything you want kept as-is — flag any part of the sound that's already exactly how you want it.

Questions
What exactly is a "stem"?
A stem is a group of tracks bounced together into one stereo file — not a single raw track, and not your full multitrack session. Every package includes 2 stems as standard (typically everything vocal in one file, everything instrumental in the other). If you want more separation — drums, bass, keys, or vocal groups split out individually — that's easy to add for +£10 per extra stem group, chosen when you book.
What will I get back?
A finished stereo mix and master, delivered as WAV and MP3. Premium also includes the mastered stems (vocal + instrumental, processed) if you need them for remixing, sync, or handing to a label.
When do I pay?
In full, at the time of booking, through PayPal's secure checkout. That confirms your slot and starts the process. A payment link is emailed to you too, in case you need it; if payment isn't completed within 24 hours, the slot is released so someone else can book it.
What if I'm not happy with the first pass?
That's what revisions are for — tell me specifically what to change and I'll send an updated version. Basic includes 2 rounds, Standard 3, Premium unlimited within reason.
Do you work with genres outside your list?
The genres above are where I spend most of my time, but I'm open to most styles — send a link to your rough mix and I'll tell you honestly if it's a good fit before you book.
Is this all done remotely?
Yes — everything's handled online, from stem upload to final delivery. Most artists find it easier to judge a mix on the speakers or headphones they already know, rather than a studio room they've never heard before.
I've got a full EP or album to mix — can I book multiple tracks?
Yes, just mention the number of tracks when you book. Get in touch first and I'll work out a fair rate for the batch rather than pricing each track separately.
How do you say Marc IV?
'Mark Four', so if you're telling a friend, Marc 4 Audio works too. The name is my first name, Vicram, spelled backwards.
