Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026
This page explains what personal information Marc IV Audio ("I", "me") collects when you use this website or book a session, why I collect it, and what your rights are. I'm a sole trader based in the UK, and this policy is written to comply with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who I am
Marc IV Audio is the trading name of Vicram Singh Gozra, a sole trader offering mixing and mastering services. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact me at customerservice@marcivaudio.co.uk.
What I collect
When you book a session, I collect:
- Your name and email address
- Any notes you add about your track
- Booking details — date, time, and package chosen
- Your time zone, as set on your device (for example "America/New_York"), so your booking emails can show the session in your own time as well as UK time
- Payment confirmation from PayPal (I never see or store your card or bank details directly — PayPal handles this)
- The audio files you send me for mixing/mastering
Why I collect it
Solely to provide the service you've booked: to schedule your session, process payment, communicate with you about your track, and deliver the finished work. I don't use your information for marketing without your separate consent, and I don't sell your data to anyone.
The legal basis for this is that it's needed to carry out the service you've booked with me, plus keeping financial records to meet UK tax law.
Where your data is stored
Your booking details are stored on my own secure server in the UK, not on a third-party booking platform.
Who your data is shared with
To run this business, some of your information passes through these third-party services, each acting as a data processor on my behalf:
- PayPal — processes your payment. See PayPal's own privacy policy.
- Resend — sends your booking, payment and delivery emails from bookings@marcivaudio.co.uk.
- Google Calendar — your session (your name, email, date, package, any notes, and your local time if you're outside the UK) is added to a private scheduling calendar. See Google's privacy policy.
- Cloudflare — hosts this website, runs the "I'm human" check on the booking form, and forwards emails sent to @marcivaudio.co.uk addresses. It can see technical connection data such as your IP address.
- Dropbox — receives the stems you upload through the upload link you get after booking.
- WeTransfer — used to send you your finished files.
Some of these providers are based outside the UK. Where your data is transferred abroad, they rely on safeguards recognised under UK law, such as the UK–US Data Bridge or approved contract clauses.
None of these services are used to sell or share your data onward for their own marketing purposes as part of this business relationship.
Information stored on your device
This website saves two small settings in your own browser, and nothing else: whether the homepage sound is switched on or off (marciv-sound), and whether the site's visit statistics have been switched off (marciv-no-stats). These settings stay on your device, don't identify you, and can be cleared at any time in your browser settings.
How long I keep your data
Booking and invoice records are kept for as long as needed to meet UK tax and accounting obligations (currently up to 6 years for financial records). Audio files are kept only as long as reasonably needed to deliver and support your project, after which they may be deleted.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Ask what personal data I hold about you
- Ask me to correct inaccurate data
- Ask me to delete your data, where I'm not legally required to keep it (e.g. financial records)
- Object to how your data is used
To exercise any of these, email customerservice@marcivaudio.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), if you're unhappy with how your data has been handled.
Cookies, fonts & visit statistics
This site loads typefaces from Google Fonts, which may involve a minimal technical connection to Google's servers when the page loads. The booking form uses Cloudflare's "I'm human" check to stop spam bookings. No advertising or tracking cookies are used on this site.
To understand how many people visit the site, the main public pages use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It counts visits anonymously (for example which pages are viewed, the website you arrived from, your country, and your type of device and browser). It doesn't use cookies, doesn't store anything on your device, and doesn't identify you or follow you across other websites. It isn't used on client delivery pages.
